By using the Innerbit Therapy Services website, contacting us, booking an appointment or engaging our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Website Information

Information provided on this website is for general information and guidance only. While reasonable care is taken to keep information accurate and up to date, it may be changed or updated from time to time.

Information on this website does not constitute medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for appropriate professional or emergency support.

2. Services

Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. provides counselling, coaching and supervision services.

A free 15-minute discovery session may be available to discuss your needs, answer initial questions and consider whether the service and therapeutic relationship feel suitable for you.

The discovery session does not establish an ongoing therapeutic relationship or guarantee that therapy or another service will be offered.

The nature of the service, session arrangements, fees and any relevant terms will be discussed and agreed with you before ongoing work begins.

3. Appointments and Attendance

Appointments are arranged by agreement between you and Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd.

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged in accordance with the cancellation arrangements agreed with you before therapy begins.

Where circumstances require an appointment to be rearranged, Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. will aim to provide reasonable notice where possible.

4. Confidentiality

Information shared during counselling, coaching or supervision is treated confidentially.

Confidentiality is not absolute. Information may need to be shared where there is a significant concern about the safety or wellbeing of you or another person, where safeguarding concerns arise, where disclosure is required by law or court order, or where sharing information is necessary to protect life or safety.

Where appropriate and where doing so would not increase risk, you will normally be informed before information is shared.

Where information needs to be shared, only relevant and proportionate information will be disclosed to appropriate people or organisations on a need-to-know basis.

Professional supervision may involve discussion of client work for the purposes of professional support, reflection and safe practice. Client information will be anonymised where possible.

5. Safeguarding

Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. has a responsibility to take appropriate action where there are concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a client, child or another person.

Safeguarding responsibilities may require information to be shared with appropriate services or authorities where necessary.

For children and young people, confidentiality and information-sharing arrangements will be explained in accordance with the circumstances, safeguarding requirements and applicable professional and legal obligations.

6. Online and Remote Sessions

Where services are provided remotely, reasonable steps will be taken to use appropriate and secure communication platforms and to protect confidentiality.

You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure that you have a private and suitable environment for your session.

Where appropriate, you may be asked to confirm your current location and provide an emergency contact so that appropriate action can be taken if an emergency or significant safety concern arises during a remote session.

Sessions will not be recorded by Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. without your explicit consent.

Remote therapy may not be appropriate in every circumstance, particularly where there are significant or immediate safety concerns.

7. Emergency and Crisis Support

Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. is not an emergency or crisis service.

If you are experiencing an immediate risk to yourself or another person, or require urgent medical or emergency assistance, you should contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service.

Information about emergency arrangements may also be discussed as part of the assessment and therapeutic process where relevant.

8. Ending Therapy

You have the right to end therapy or another service at any time.

Where possible, we encourage you to discuss ending therapy with your practitioner so that the work can be brought to an appropriate and safe conclusion.

Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. may also recommend ending or reviewing the service where it is no longer appropriate or where another service may better meet your needs.

9. Records and Personal Information

Information provided to Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and the Innerbit Therapy Services Ltd. Privacy Policy.

Where you engage in counselling, coaching or supervision, relevant records may be maintained as part of providing a safe, effective and professionally appropriate service.

Records will be stored securely and retained in accordance with applicable legal, professional and organisational requirements.

Further information about how personal information is collected, used, stored, retained and shared can be found in the Privacy Policy.

Formal complaints should be made in writing where possible. Complaints will be handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable confidentiality and data protection requirements.

You may also have the right to raise a complaint with an appropriate professional body, regulatory authority or other relevant organisation where applicable.

11. Fees and Payment

Fees and payment arrangements will be discussed and agreed before services begin.

Any applicable cancellation charges or other payment terms will be explained to you before you commit to ongoing sessions.
